Fixed Error 15241 on Windows 7, 8, 10, or Vista
- Quit the QB desktop application.
- Do Right-click on My Computer and select Manage.
- Click Services and Applications.
- Double click on a Service option
- Find the IntuitQuickBooks FCS service in the list and double-click it.
- Under the General tab, click the Startup type drop-down menu, select Manual and apply.
- Click the Start button and then click OK.
- Then try to Update QuickBooks Desktop to Install the latest Payroll Tax table updates.
Windows XP
If you have Windows XP installed on your system, follow these steps:
- First, exit from QuickBooks Desktop.
- Now, Right-click My Computer and select Manage.
- Click on Services & Applications > Services.
- Scroll down to Intuit QuickBooks FCS service. On double click, Intuit QuickBooks FCS Properties window get opens.
- On the General tab, tap on the Startup type drop-down arrow and select Manual
- Click on OK.
- Download the QuickBooks Desktop product updates.
- Update payroll tax tables.
